Your coffee tells me about your personality

Did you know that your coffee preferences say a great deal about you? To be honest I am thankful that someone took the time to research this- because I have suspected these things all along. If you want to know more about the psychology of why/what we eat, check out this book: ‘You are WHY you eat.”

Now- kick back at your favorite coffee shop and prepare to analyze the coffee drinkers around you.

Black Coffee:

The good- Black coffee drinkers are very patient and efficient. They have a purist, traditional attitude and like to keep things simple. When moving toward goals they are focused, direct, and driven.

The bad- They can be resistant to change, even if it is a better path. They are stuck in their routines and will become moody if things don’t go their way. They are often abrupt without explanation when making decisions or changing plans.

Any added cream & sugar (latte, etc):

The good- They are willing to go out of their way to help others. As comfort seekers, they try to make life relaxed and playful. They are good at rolling with change.

The bad- They are people pleasers who will often forget to take care of themselves as well. When they overextend themselves, they get overwhelmed and shut down.

Frozen/Blended:

The good- Being socially outgoing, they become natural bold trend setters. They are spontaneous and like trying new things. They are unique thinkers and are imaginative.

The bad- They can be childlike and immature. They can be reckless and go for the ‘quick fix’ instead of doing things ‘the right way’.

Decaf/Special/Personalized:

The good- They are natural leaders and like to be in control. They tend to make healthy choices and are very self aware of their body/mind/health.

The bad- They can be obsessive and tend to overfocus on rules. They may be labeled as selfish based on their lack of awareness of others.

Instant:

The good- The ultimate laid back, take life as it comes, kind of person. They don’t focus on the details and tend to have faith that things will ‘just work out’.

The bad- As big procrastinators, they don’t plan ahead and may put things off until it is too late to remedy.

Tea:

You might not be the most exciting person of the group- but you are a solid individual with no mood swings and steady focus. (This section put in by popular demand.)

My Challenge to you: Although this was researched- it will not fit everyone. This can be a fun way to look at your personality but is not concrete. Take some time this week to analyze the person you are and figure out what goals you would like to set as we enter to holiday season. Thanks for playing. 🙂

Happy caffeinating friends!
