Our sense of smell is one of the strongest connected to memories. Smell can also help with focus and concentration. Here is your task today: Find a scent that motivates you, relaxes you, and one that makes you happy.
My insights: As you can imagine lavender is a scent that I use a lot in therapy and in general relaxation. As for the happy and motivation scent- I like to do a ‘boil pot’. Here is the recipe:
Happy Boil Pot
- 1 sliced lemon
- Splash of vanilla
- Few pinches of rosemary
- Small pot of water
Put all ingredients in the pot and bring water to a soft boil. Let it simmer as the scent fills your home. Keep an eye on it so it doesn’t boil over or boil dry. Add water as desired.
In the world: Pay close attention to the scents you experience in the world and how they make you feel. Are there scents you can add to your home that would create peace or happy? Are there scents you should eliminate or decrease in your home?
I would love to see who is going on this journey alongside me- so use the hashtag #30daysofMagic, tag me with @jessietherapy (facebook or instagram) , or message me so I can share your experience too.
See you in the blooms Friends!
